Our Story

23rd Hour is a jazz-pop duo based in Los Angeles, California.

Sherry-Lynn Lee & George Paolini first met at an open mic in Silicon Valley in 2014. The two quickly became inseparable. On a cold November night, after jamming for twenty three hours straight, they started penning their first co-written song together. 23rd Hour was born.

Their blend of George’s jazz influences with Sherry’s contemporary pop sensibilities is best described as light, warm, timeless, and sometimes, quirky. The band's first album "Perfect Strangers" debuted at #10 on the iTunes featured best sellers in the jazz category in 2017.

The same year, the duo released their first original Christmas song, garnering 40,000 views in the first few weeks. They have since released a holiday album "Let a Day Together Be Christmas" and multiple other singles. Over the past two years, the pair has been focused on writing and producing. Their upcoming holiday EP "Home for the Holidays" was fully produced and mixed in-house.

Truly in love with the creation process, the pair constantly writes and produces original music from their home studio, often collaborating globally with like-minded creatives from LA to Mauritius (Indian Ocean). Prior to focusing their efforts on songwriting and production, the pair worked in Silicon Valley. When they are not creating music, the renaissance couple can be found woodworking, welding, painting, cooking, or snorkeling in Mauritius, Sherry’s home country.
